Raymond Addison Fish, age 74 of Grand Chain, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his home.
Raymond was born October 22, 1946 in Woodstock, Illinois. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. After his military service he moved to the Los Angeles, California area and was an industrial cleaner. He later moved to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and was a farm hand and a computer specialist. Raymond was united in marriage with Joan Campbell on April 1, 2000. They retired to Grand Chain in 2001 and operated a computer store, he and his wife Joan also ran the R & J Treasure Chest in Grand Chain. Raymond loved and was known for playing Santa Claus in the Karnak and Grand Chain communities and he was commonly known as Santa Claus.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Joan Stogsdill Campbell Fish; two sons, Jeffrey Fish of Baraboo, Wisconsin and Jamie Fish of Hebron, Illinois; stepchildren, Ronald (Beverly) Campbell of Metropolis, Illinois, Cynthia McConnell of Woodstock, Illinois, Mark and Lori Campbell of Mesa, Arizona, Coleen and Sean Nolan of Boscobel, Wisconsin; three sisters, Jane Fish, Donna Fish and Barb (Oscar) Garza; fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Don and Jane Robinson Fish; one brother, Al Fish.
Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Raymond Addison Fish will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Ohio Chapel Church in rural Grand Chain. The family will receive friends from 11a.m. until the service hour Saturday at the Church. Pastor Tammy Horn will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Ohio Chapel Cemetery with Full Military Rites accorded by the United States Army Burial Detail Team and area veterans.
