Brandon Frederick Bullock, age 43 years, a resident of Grantsburg, passed away Monday evening, July 8, 2019.
Brandon was the son of Henry W. Bullock and Frances L. (Pearce) Bullock. He was born December 31, 1975 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
On March 11, 2000, Brandon was married to Trisha N. King and from this union two sons were born. Jordan H. Bullock was born October 17, 2001 and Jacob R. Bullock was born April 13, 2004. Brandon grew up loving to farm. He particularly enjoyed operating earth-moving equipment such as the bulldozer, backhoe, and track hoe. Other favorites included driving the semi, combining crops, and listening to rock and roll music.
Brandon was a 1994 graduate of Vienna High School. He took pride in serving on the Johnson County Farm Bureau Board, the Johnson County Soil and Water Conservation Board and the Bay Creek Conservancy Board. In his youth, Brandon enjoyed raccoon hunting, horseback riding and 4-wheeler ridingwith friends.
Brandon was involved in a motorcycle accident on April 11, 2010 and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Combined with other personal issues, he lost the ability to have a productive farming future. He never recovered from that loss.
Brandon is survived by his parents; a brother – Brent A. Bullock; his two sons, Jordan and Jacob, as well as an abundance of other friends and family. Brandon was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vienna. He was a hard worker and took pride in all that he did. Brandon will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A service honoring the life of Brandon Bullock will be conducted Friday afternoon, July 12, 2019, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Travis Wilson and David Johnson, one of Brandon’s cousins, will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, 2019, from 11 AM – 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
