Mary Lillian (Barnes) Hannan, 91, of Olmsted, passed away at 7:32 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at her home. Mary was the daughter of Hal and Hildagard Ann Eiselmeier Barnes. She was born September 4, 1927 in Olmsted.
Mary and Claybourne Lee Hannan were united in marriage on September 8, 1949 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Mound City, Illinois.
Mary was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Mound City and was retired from the dietary department at Meridian School District. She enjoyed being at the Cane Break, she loved dancing, gardening, cooking and especially loved her family. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and a friend who reached forth to touch the hands of The Master. A wonderful woman, Mary’s heart of endless love continues to live now and forevermore.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Claybourne Lee Hannan, parents, Hal and Hildegard Ann Barnes, grandparents, Stephen and Mary Eiselmeier, James and Lillian Barnes, brothers, Gilbert, James, Robert, Steven and Gerald Barnes.
She is survived by her four children, Zachary Thomas Hannan (Vicki) of Mounds, Xavier Francis Hannan (Julie)of Vienna, Mary Angeline (Hannan) Gray (Ron) of Bertrand, Missouri and Wenefride Lee (Hannan) Ward (Robert) of Rockledge, Florida, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Mary Lillian Barnes Hannan will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Saint Catherine Catholic Church in Grand Chain. Father Bill McGhee will be officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Catherine Cemetery in Grand Chain. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 till 8 with a Rosary being lead by George Bell beginning at 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.
Pallbearers honoring will be David Michael Hannan, Jeremy Kyle Evers, Zachary Ryan Hannan, George Gilbert Barnes, David Rock Hileman and Bryan Bump Curry.
