Dustin Ray Bean, age 38 years, a resident of Marion and a former resident of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 25, 2019, at 12:26 PM at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois.
Dustin was born October 15, 1980 in Herrin, Illinois. He was the son of Paul and Nancy J. (Law) Bean.
Survivors include: His father – Paul Bean of Herrin; his mother – Nancy (Ray) Street of Ozark; 3 children – Dalton, Garret, and Levi Bean; 2 sisters – Amy (Larry) Presley of Mt. Vernon and Paula Bean of Indianapolis, Indiana; a brother – Mike (Tonia) Bean of Herrin; 2 stepbrothers – Matt (Jolene) Street of Creal Springs and Jacob (Sarah) Street of New Burnside; nieces & nephews, including – Bryan, Jaden, and Austin Presley, Hannah (Greg) Antoine, Stormy Stroud and Samantha Bean, and a great nephew – Jayce Presley.
Dustin was a 1999 graduate of Vienna High School. He had been employed by B&B Lawn Service in Mt. Vernon and was more recently working as an auto repairman in Marion. Dustin loved to work and tinker on all types of vehicles. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed riding motorcycles, dirt and trail bikes and 4 wheelers with friends. He also enjoyed fishing. Dustin is remembered for his zest for life and for being a “risk-taker.” He cherished time spent with his children and was a great Daddy to them.
Dustin was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Mt. Vernon.
A service honoring the life of Dustin Bean will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery east of Ozark.
Visitation will be conducted Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 11 AM – 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
