Johnson County hosting Easter egg hunts

Johnson County will be the setting for several Easter egg hunts this weekend. Here are some of them:

Community Easter egg hunt in Vienna

The Vienna Community Easter Egg Hunt will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Vienna City Park for children ages 13 and under.

Anyone who brings 12 or more canned goods or dry goods will go into a drawing for a grand prize. 

All foods will go the First Baptist Church food pantry.

Vienna First Methodist

Easter egg hunt

The Vienna First Methodist Church at 301 North 4th Street, will hold an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday at 2 p.m. The public is invited to join.

Cypress Easter egg hunt

The Cypress Village Hall will be the site of an Easter egg hunt Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Participants need to bring their own basket. There will be lots of prizes and candy to give away.

The Cypress Fire Department will be hosting a bake sale and concessions at 1 p.m., with hot dogs, burgers and drinks available.

Registration and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny also begin at 1 p.m.

Adult Easter egg hunt in Vienna

Rise Up Ministries will be hosting a free Adult, Glow-In-The-Dark Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday starting at 8 p.m. at the Vienna Ball Park. 

Participants need to bring a basket, bucket or bag to put their eggs in and a flashlight. Participants are also encouraged to wear running shoes and night vision goggles and come hunt some Easter eggs.

There will be cash prizes awarded. Any individual who feels they are too old to participate in the usual Easter egg hunts —preferably 16 and up — can participate in the Adult Easter egg hunt.
