Rosanna Specht, 79, of Mattoon, passed away 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home, Mattoon.
Memorial services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the Southern Baptist Church, Sullivan. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Church.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or to the Southern Baptist Church, Sullivan.
McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan is in charge of the arrangements.
Rosanna was born August 5, 1939 in Vienna, the daughter of Charlie and Addie (Odum) Cheek. She married Jerry L. Specht on June 16, 1975 in Charleston; he survives.
She worked as a book keeper for Doehring & Winders in Mattoon. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Sullivan. She enjoyed crafts and flea markets. Rosanna loved all of her family dearly.
Rosanna is survived by her husband, Jerry Specht of Mattoon; sons, Jeff (LaDonna) Yandell of Muskegon, MI, and Jaceson (Renae) Yandell of Monticello; daughters, Margo (Ken) Christian of Mattoon, and Connie Specht of Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one son, Joey Alex Yandell.
