Nicholas Ryan Eastwood

Nicholas Ryan Eastwood, age 36 years, a resident of Marion and a former resident of Vienna, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at his home.

Nicholas, affectionately known as Nick, was born October 2, 1982 in Murphysboro, Illinois.  He was the son of Steve and Debbie (Roberts) Eastwood.

Nicholas is survived by: his father – Steve Eastwood of Carterville; a sister – Stephanie Eastwood of Columbus, Ohio; a niece – Brayden Eastwood of Columbus, Ohio; his paternal grandmother – Opal Eastwood of Cypress; his maternal grandmother – Betty Charnell of Vienna; aunts – Vicki Eastwood of Cypress and Barbara Eastwood of Marion; an uncle – David (Joy) Roberts of Mt. Carmel; as well as cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

Nicholas was preceded in death by: his mother – Debbie Eastwood; his grandfathers – Bobby Roberts and Dallas “Deacon” Eastwood; and an uncle – Gary Eastwood.

Nicholas attended Vienna High School.  He had been employed by Harrah’s Casino in Metropolis and the Vienna Dollar General Store.

Nicholas was a member of the Vienna First Christian Church. He was a sports enthusiast and loved to play golf.  Nicholas was a dedicated fan of the Duke University Blue Devils basketball team.  He also enjoyed hiking, especially at Giant City State Park.  Nicholas was also an amateur storm chaser.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, February 20, 2019, at 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.  Pastor Jay Franklin will officiate.  Burial will be in the Cypress Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019, from 11 AM – 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home.
