Matsue N. Troutt, age 85 years, a resident of Metropolis and a former resident of Golconda, passed away Monday morning, February 11, 2019, at 4:30 AM at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.
Matsue was born June 26, 1933 on Gusukube-Oho (Okinawa) Japan.
She was united in marriage to Paul Troutt, Sr. on December 31, 1959. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1992.
Survivors include: her children – Ken (Dana) Troutt, Fred (Debbie) Troutt, Margaret Lamb, Linda (Steve) Shelby, Paul (Shelley) Troutt, Jr., Marilyn Troutt, and Martin (Crystal) Troutt; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, her brother – Hetoshi Taira and a nephew – Tsuyoshi Taira bothof Ryukyu Island Japan.
Matsue was preceded in death by her husband – Paul Troutt, Sr., and infant son – Bobby Troutt, a daughter – Carolyn Gibbs, and 2 great grandchildren.
Matsue was a homemaker. She attended the Brookport Church of God. Matsue enjoyed writing, journaling and listening to music.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, February 13, 2019, at 1 PM at the Brookport Church of God, 203 East 4thStreet, Brookport, Illinois. Pastor Charles Tate will officiate. Burial will be in the Reevesville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Brookport Church of God.
