Linda L. “Lou Lou” Goggio, age 52 years, a resident of Lemay, Missouri and a former resident of the New Columbia community in Massac County, passed away Monday evening, December 17, 2018, at 9:32 PM in Kirkwood, Missouri.
Linda was born April 7, 1966 in Metropolis, Illinois. She was the daughter of William and Sandra Deloris (English) Lott, Jr.
Linda is survived by: her mother – Sandra Duncan of Marion; a son – John (Ashley) Emery, Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa; 2 sisters – Mary H. (Roger) Stafford of the New Columbia community and Ginny Holderfield of Marion; as well as nephews and a niece – Jeff, Jeremy, Josh, and Jessica; and great nieces and a great nephew – Savannah, Makayla, MacKenzie, Macey, Langston, Madison and Jackson. Linda dearly loved her niece, nephews, great nieces and great nephew. She thought of them affectionately as her own grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, William Lott, Jr.
Linda was a graduate of Marion High School. She was also a graduate of Rend Lake Community College and Chamberlain University College of Nursing. Linda was employed as a clinical service manager by Brookdale Home Health in St. Louis, Missouri.
Linda was of the Baptist faith. She cherished time spent with family and friends.
A service honoring the life of Linda Goggio will be held Sunday afternoon, December 23, 2018, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Frank Forthman and Pastor Austin Scott will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at New Columbia.
Visitation will be conducted Sunday, December 23, 2018, from 12 Noon – 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to New Hope Baptist Church. Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
