Shawnee College to host IDOC Recruitment Fair

Shawnee Community College will host a Recruitment Fair for the Illinois Department of Corrections on the main campus, 8364 Shawnee College Rd., Ullin, on Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public; Job seekers should bring resumes, dress professionally and be ready to be interviewed.

The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) has several jobs available throughout the entire state, including positions in security, mental health, nursing, food supervisors and social workers. The representatives from IDOC are interested in speaking with interested applicants desiring to pursue a career in any of the listed areas, and will be available to answer questions regarding other possible employment opportunities in related fields.
