Pamela Jo Rushing

Pamela Jo Rushing, age 60 years, a resident of rural Ozark (the McCormick community), passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, November 9, 2018, at 4:57 PM at the Harrisburg Medical Center.

Pamela was born December 28, 1957 in Harvey, Illinois. She was the daughter of Junior H. Gibbs and JoAnne (Bush) Gibbs.

On March 12, 1981, Pam was united in marriage to Gary Rushing, Sr. in Harrisburg, Illinois. He survives.

Other survivors include: 4 children – Julie Bishop of Harrisburg, Bryan Bishop of Harrisburg, Gary Rushing, Jr. of Ozark and Matthew Rushing of Ozark; grandchildren, including – Harley Hill, Dawson Rushing, and Audra Mae Rushing; a brother – Mike Gibbs of Harrisburg and a sister – Terry Clark of Harrisburg.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents.

Pam was a homemaker. She had also worked as a nursing home C.N.A. In her spare time, Pam enjoyed reading and completing word search puzzles. She attended the Olive General Baptist Church in the McCormick community.

A graveside service honoring the life of Pamela Jo Rushing will be held Wednesday morning, November 14, 2018, at 11 AM at the Zion Cemetery, east of Ozark. Pastor Jim Ashford will officiate. Those attending the service are asked to gather at the cemetery at 10:45 AM Wednesday. There will be no public visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Olive General Baptist Church.
