Students return to classes next week

Summer will end for students next week when school for Johnson County begins on August 14.

All schools in Johnson County will begin on August 14, and will also be let out early at 11:30, expect for New Simpson Hill, which will be let out at 11:45.

The following days, Aug. 15-17, school in Johnson County will be let out at 2 p.m., with the exception being New Simpson Hill, which will be let out on 2:15 p.m. on those days.

Goreville Unit One will be holding an open house on August 13. For pre-k, it will be 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m.,  kindergarten will be from 5 p.m. till 6 p.m. and grades 1-12 will be from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m.
