LaVerne Lampley, age 93 years, a resident of Vienna, Illinois passed away Saturday morning, June 2, 2018, at 6:55 AM at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
LaVerne was born July 17, 1924 in Rosiclare, Illinois.
She is survived by: her daughter – Brenda (Porter) Latham of Vienna; 2 granddaughters: Lisa (Tom) Waskosky of Bourbonnais and Lori Latham of Bradley; 3 great grandchildren – Porter (Jeanette) Waskosky of Bourbonnais, Riley Mayer of Bourbonnais, and Lia Smietanski of Bradley; a great-great granddaughter – Joelle Waskosky of Bourbonnais; a niece – Nancy Jo (Lee) Comley of Texas and a cousin – Betty June (Frederick) Heaton of New Burnside.
LaVerne was preceded in death by: her mother – Bertha Craig Veach; a sister – Virginia Wheeler; a great granddaughter – Jennifer Waskosky Olson; a great grandson – PV1 Zachary S. Mayer; an aunt – Edith Cullum; a niece – Martha Wheeler Emerson and cousins – Bobby Jo Cullum and Tom Cullum.
LaVerne was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking, fishing and bird watching. LaVerne was of the Baptist faith.
A service honoring the life of LaVerne Lampley will be conducted Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2018, at 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Dr. Ed Hollis will officiate.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 12 Noon – 1 PM.
A graveside committal service will be conducted Monday, June 11, 2018, at 11 AM at Maternity Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, 900 Canterbury Lane, Bourbonnais, Illinois.
