Murl was born April 10, 1936 in Union County, Illinois. She was the second of four children born to William Ward Niblock and Gladys (Kelley) Niblock.
Murl was united in marriage to Billy Ray Hutson on November 26, 1955 in the Dykersburg community. He survives.
Other survivors include: her children – Nancy R. (Jim) Eaton of Benton, Rev. Mark Allen (Tammy) Hutson of Pittsburg, and Wesley Ward (Meredith) Hutson of Stonefort; 5 grandchildren – D.J. (Christine) Eaton, Chad (Jessica) Eaton, Nicole (Jonathan) Lintner, Dylan (Cashmere) Hutson, and Lane (Brooke Arnold) Hutson; 5 great grandchildren – Ryan Eaton, Matthew Eaton, Isabella Eaton, Tyler Lintner and Levi Lintner; a sister – Wanda (Chuck) Kunsman of Melrose Park, and Betty Ann Miller of Plano; 2 nephews – Jimmy Kunsman and Brian Miller and their families; a niece – Cathy Miller; as well as cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Murl was anticipating the birth of a great grandchild, due in September, to be named Taytum Hutson.
In addition to her parents, Murl was preceded in death by: a brother – Carson Niblock and a brother-in-law – Sonny Miller.
Murl was a graduate of Dongola High School. She received training and certification as a certified nurse’s aide (C.N.A.) at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Joliet. Later, she received recertification through John A. Logan Community College. Murl worked as a C.N.A. at the former Creal Springs Nursing Home as well as providing private home duty nursing care service.
Murl was the eldest female member of the Indian Camp Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed mowing, gardening and caring for her flowers. She particularly enjoyed raising tulips.
A service honoring the life of Murl Dean Hutson will be conducted Thursday afternoon, May 3, 2018, at 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Murl’s son, Rev. Mark Hutson, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cypress Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 AM – 1PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
