Meryl Jean (Ditterline) Kerley, 86, passed from this life at 1:55 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018, at her home in Cypress, Illinois, surrounded and comforted by her loving family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Terry Kern presiding. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kerley was a homemaker and beautician. She was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church in Perks. She enjoyed shopping and traveling and was actively involved with the Airstream Campers Club for many years prior to her husband’s death.
She is survived by her three sons, Chuck Kerley (Paula), Roger Kerley (Debbie), both of Cypress, and Tim Kerley (Rosa), of Columbia, Missouri; two brothers, Jackie Ditterline and Rick Ditterline; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Kerley Jr., one son, Donnie Kerley, her parents, Earl and Ruby (Eddleman) Ditterline, and two sisters, Sue (Ditterline) Greer and Dorothy (Ditterline) Pfaff.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
