Scott was born September 1, 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was the son of Jimmy D. and Brigitte M. (Beck) Miller.
On June 1, 2000, Scott was united in marriage to Pam K. Dalton in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.
Other survivors include: a sister – Barbara R. (her husband, Allan) Lang of America, Illinois; his father-in-law & mother-in-law – Joe and Linda Moore of Vienna; as well as a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents.
Scott was a 1983 graduate of Meridian High School. Following his high school graduation, Scott entered the U.S. Air Force. He served honorably until his discharge in 1993 with the rank of Sergeant.
Scott was employed as a union carpenter with the Carpenter’s Local # 640 located in Metropolis.
In his spare time, Scott enjoyed playing video games. He was also an avid golfer and had enjoyed hunting in his youth.
Scott attended the Ozark Pentecostal Church and particularly enjoyed the home cell-group meetings. He is fondly remembered for his love of life and spending time “aggravating” his family and friends.
A service honoring the life of Raymond “Scott” Miller will be conducted Tuesday morning, March 27, 2018, at 10 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Jeff Treat will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in the National Cemetery at Mound City.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, March 26, 2018, from 5 PM – 8 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
