Julia Ann Johnson, age 53 years, a resident of rural Vienna, Illinois, passed away Saturday evening, August 26, 2017, at 10:25 PM at her home.
Julie was born July 9, 1964 in Lombard, Illinois. She was the daughter of John D. and Judith A. (Gray) Holderfield.
On October 18, 1985, Julie was united in marriage to Steven Ray Johnson in Harrisburg, Illinois. He survives.
In addition to her husband, Julie is survived by: 4 sons – Dustin (his wife, Holly) Penrod of Marion, Tyler (his wife, Ashly) Johnson of Richmond Hill, Georgia, Garrett (his wife, Becky) Johnson of Carterville, and Bryce (his wife, Bekah) Johnson of Carrier Mills; 5 grandchildren – Brooklyn Penrod, Landon Johnson, Rileigh Johnson, Aiden Johnson and Emma Penrod; a sister – Suzie (her husband, Neal) Nolen of Vienna; a brother – Thomas (his wife, Lisa) Whittle of Marion; and her stepmother – Myra Holderfield of Dongola.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, John D. Holderfield and Judith A. Martin and her stepfather – Delbert Martin.
Julie was a 1982 graduate of Carrier Mills High School. She dedicated over 30 years of her working career to the food service industry including owning and operating Heartland Banquet Center in Harrisburg. She was a very accomplished cook and enjoyed the catering business.
Julie cherished time spent with her family and enjoyed traveling. She had served as President of the Carrier Mills Parent Teacher Organization (P.T.O.)
Julie was a member of the Carrier Mills First Baptist Church and more recently attended Cornerstone Church in Marion.
A service honoring the life of Julia Ann Johnson will be conducted Thursday morning, August 31, 2017, at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Harl Cockrum will officiate.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 5 PM – 8 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
