Master Gardener graduate

For the first time in nearly 15 years, Johnson County has a Master Gardener graduate. Mrs. Carmen Dixon, center in photo, completed the 11-week training and will be completing volunteer hours over the next year.  Part of her volunteering will include submitting articles to local papers, doing presentations to groups, and helping answer questions from the community. During April, every Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Carmen will be available in the Vienna Extension office to answer questions, either in person or over the telephone at 658-5321.  She is very excited to bring this service to the area and we hope the public will employ her services.
