Ronald D. Trigg, age 63 years, a resident of Norris City (the Herald Community), Illinois and a former resident of Johnson County, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, January 31, 2017, at 9:45 a.m. at his home.
Ron was born January 18, 1954 in Anna, Illinois. He was the son of John and Ruth (Bailey) Trigg.
Ron was a beloved son and brother. He is survived by: 2 sisters – Nancy Widick of Champaign and Carol Lynn of Peyton, Colorado; nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and other relatives. In addition to the many family members he leaves behind in Southern Illinois, he will be missed by his dear friends in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron loved the river and the many years he spent working as a barge pilot. He enjoyed nature, often just going down and sitting by the river or watching deer in the field outside his home. Ron particularly enjoyed the many motorcycle trips he made with his friends.
A memorial service honoring the life of Ronald Trigg will be conducted Thursday evening, February 9, 2017, at 7 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday evening at the funeral home.
The preferred form of remembrance would be contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice in Ron’s memory.
