NSH School plans screenings and registration

New Simpson Hill preschool screenings and kindergarten registration is scheduled to be held on Friday, March 17.

Parents need to call 658-8536 to set up an appointment.

All children ages birth through preschool age, born after Sept. 1, 2012, will be screened and children born on or before Sept, 1, 2012, and planning to enter kindergarten will be screened.

All children will need to have their birth certificate (copy of certified with county seal now required), recent physical and shot record and social security card.

If parents are receiving food stamp/TANF (10 to 13 digit case number) and/or Medicaid (9 digit number per child) benefits, they are asked to bring documentation.

Areas tested include visual motor, language and cognition, gross motor, vision and hearing.

Agencies participating in this screening are New Simpson Hill prekindergarten, Child and Family Connections, Headstart, JAMP Education Cooperative and New Simpson Hill School.
