Three to be inducted into Vienna High School Hall of Fame Feb. 4

Three former Vienna High School athletes will be inducted into the VHS Hall of Fame Saturday, Feb. 4, during halftime of the Eagles vs. Chester basketball game. The inductees are Mike Stewart (class of 1960), Kisten Martin (class of 2003) and Lacie Endrizzi (class of 2007). Following are their athletic achievements during their years at VHS:

Mike Stewart Class of 1960

Considered to be one of the finest hitters and baseball players in school history Batted .369 in 1959 and school record .454 in 1960. A record that stood for 20 years. Led baseball team to 3 district and 1 regional titles Team had overall 4 year record of 66-16 which is an .804 winning percentage Named school most valuable athlete in 1959 and 1960 MVP in baseball twice and basketball once Scored 935 points during basketball career Received baseball scholarship to Southern Illinois University VHS head baseball coach 1968-69 VHS assistant basketball coach many years and taught entire career at VHS.

Kisten Martin Class of 2003

4 year starter in basketball and softball 4 year All-South selection in softball 4 time All-Conference in softball and 2 time in basketball Won the IHSA home run derby in 2000 Career batting ave. of .416 with 24 HRs and 180 RBIs Led team to 3 regional titles in softball and 1 in basketball VHS all-time leader in triples with 28 and putouts with 1196 Scored 1315 points with 529 rebounds in basketball Holds record for most points in game 44 and most in season with 606 Received softball scholarship to University of Illinois and was all big 10 conference in 2006 and all-academic big 10 all 4 years.

Lacie Endrizzi Class of 2007

4 year starter in softball and 3 year starter in basketball Scored 1028 points in basketball and led team to regional title in 2006 All-Conference in softball 3 times and basketball 2 times All-South 3 years in softball hitting .353 with 172 hits 5 HRs and 58 RBIs during career All-time leader in pitching victories 94 games started 120 complete games 90 and strikeouts 1036 Pitching record of 94-31 with 0.70 ERA Led team to 2 regional and 1 sectional championship Signed softball scholarship to University of Tennessee at Martin.
