New Simpson Hill Lady Mustangs advance to State

The New Simpson Hill Lady Mustangs defeated the Lick Creek Lady Eagles on Friday night, Jan. 13, by a score of 45-41, to advance to the state tournament.

The Lady Mustangs will play their first tournament game at Rend Lake College at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, against Bartelso.

The Lady Mustangs posted a 17-2 regular season record to earn the top seed going into the regional tournament.

The ladies defeated Dongola and Meridian on their road to the regional finals.

Ten years has passed since the Lady Mustangs have earned a spot in the state tournament.

New Simpson Hill School staff and parents would like to congratulate all of the girls and their coaches, Aerial Ford and Sara Goddard, for their hard work and success this season.
