Mustangs earn top seed in Regional

The New Simpson Hill boys basketball team has earned the top seed in the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association regional tournament. The regional tournament begins January 24 at New Simpson Hill School.

NSH will play the winner of the Pope County and Cypress/Buncombe game on January 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the regional tournament. The Mustangs currently have a 11-7 regular season record with three regular season games yet to play. The boys will finish the regular season with away games against Giant City and Goreville before finishing the regular season on Thursday, Jan. 21, against Dongola for 8th Grade Recognition Night at 6:00 p.m. at New Simpson Hill.
