There is a critical need for blood donations right now. Blood is being distributed to hospitals faster than donations are coming in. Everyday the Red Cross must collect approximately 14,000 blood donations for patients in need.
A great way to start the new year would be to give blood at the Vienna community blood drive on Monday, Jan. 16. The blood drive will be at Fellowship Baptist Church on Senior Drive from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
January is National Blood Donor Month. In addition to extended hours, donors will receive a long sleeved Red Cross t-shirt, a coupon for a free Dairy Queen ice cream cone, great food like Mike’s chili, soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, cookies, brownies, and other Red Cross snacks. Donors will also be registered for a door prize of a one month membership at Real Fit.
If you would like an appointment or would like to help with the Blood Drive, please call 771-2017. Those in need of blood and blood products are counting on you.
