Construction of the new Johnson County Veterans Honor Roll Memorial started Monday morning in the front lawn of the Vienna Carnegie Library. Matt Endrizzi, owner of Endrizzi Construction and Landscaping is donating his time and equipment to build a 32-foot diameter concrete slab base. The base will support six verticle granite slabs etched with more than 3,000 names of Johnson County veterans, including those names found on the current honor roll wall. The base is expected to be completed this week. Placement of the granite slabs is expected to start soon afterwards.
