Vienna City Works Department employees began Monday on the construction of the foundation that will support a giant 20-foot bicycle at the city park. Manufacturing of the big-wheel bicycle has been completed by Shawnee Correctional Center Industries and will hopefully soon become another tourist attraction to the Tunnel Hill State Trail.
The front wheel of the bike will stand 12 feet tall, with the top of the handle bars reaching 20 feet high. The bike will have a black frame and silver wheels. It will straddle the railroad tracks located in front of the Vienna Depot Welcome Center.
