Vienna High School will be hosting a Flag Raising/Salute to Veteran’s on Thursday, Nov. 10, starting at 1:30 p.m. Veterans are asked to attend for a special recognition and everyone in the community is invited to come and join all of the students in participating in this event. Local veteran Richard Brumley will be speaking and the Beggs-Gurley VFW Post will dedicate the flag.
School superintendent Joshua W. Stafford said in a news release, “We are pleased to see our students hosting the Veteran’s Day event again this year. It is a great opportunity for our students and community to reflect on our patriotism and show our gratitude to those that have ensured our freedom. Please come and join us.”
This event will be hosted on the front lawn of the school. In the event of inclement weather it will be moved to the new gym.
