Floyd Kenneth Stafford, age 83 years, a resident of rural Golconda (the Renshaw community) passed away Sunday evening, October 16, 2016, at 8:47 PM at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
Kenneth was born January 13, 1933 in Johnson County Illinois. He was the son of Floyd and Verna (Leveritt) Stafford.
Kenneth is survived by: his children – Mary Stafford of the Brownfield community, Elizabeth (her husband, Bobby) Williamson of the Hamletsburg community, Alex (his wife, Maureen) Stafford of the Brownfield community, Kendel (his wife, Donna) Stafford of Massac County, and Susan (her husband, Jeffrey) Reid of Jacksonville, Florida; his long-time companion – Gracie Parrish; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters – Edna McNeely of Grantsburg and Helen Goddard of Metropolis; a dear and special friend – Richard Chapman; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a granddaughter – Stephanie Wiley; a great-great grandson – Joe L. Wiley; and 2 brothers – Floyd Eugene Stafford and Clifford “Tip” Stafford.
Kenneth was employed by Hillis Bullock and later by Harold Mott as a logger and timber cutter.
Kenneth attended the Temple Hill Church. He enjoyed coon hunting and whittling.
A service honoring the life of Kenneth Stafford will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, October 19, 2016, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery near Renshaw.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 18, 2016, from 5 PM – 8 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
