Tracy Alan Alsip, age 52 years, a resident of Dongola, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2016, at 1:15 p.m. in Anna.
Tracy was born January 5, 1964 in Marion, Illinois. He was the son of Harold and Linda (Dillow) Alsip.
Tracy is survived by: a brother – James (his wife, Kim) Alsip of Anderson, South Carolina, a sister – Kaye (her husband, Dennis) Harris of Vienna; an aunt – Betty Acuff of Dongola, who Tracy affectionately referred to as “Aunt Bea;” nieces and nephews – Erinn Simmons-Bowman, Miles Simmons, and David Simmons all of Johnson County and Noah Alsip, T.J. Alsip, Gary James and Amber Curry all of South Carolina; as well as great nieces and great nephews.
Tracy was preceded in death by his parents – Harold Alsip and Linda Alsip Rudolph, a brother – Bryan K. Alsip and a great niece – Ella Rae Simmons.
Tracy had been employed in the construction and landscaping trades. He enjoyed gardening and had a gift for raising and growing roses.
Tracy was of the Baptist faith. He was a skilled woodworker and also enjoyed fishing.
Private interment will be at a later date in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
