Dorothy Aline Loven, 91, of Karnak (the Boaz Community in Massac County), passed away at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2016, at the Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.
Dorothy was born July 10, 1924 at New Columbia, IL. She retired after many years of driving a school bus for several institutions throughout Southern Illinois. She was of the Baptist Faith and has now gone home to be with the Lord.
She is survived by her son, Keith and Debbie Loven of Metropolis; daughter, Lana Ablett of Karnak; granddaughter, Stacey and Josh Bremer of Karnak; grandson, Mason and Susan Riepe of Fayetteville, NC; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Bowman, Drake Pennington, Josie and Hayden Bremer, Taylor and Nate Riepe; many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Morris Loven (1989); parents, Patrick Sr. and Juanita Moll Jones; two brothers, Paul and Charles Jones; sister, Elizabeth Hill.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Aline Loven will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Rev. Trad York officiating.
Interment will follow in the Anderson Cemetery at Boaz.
Pallbearers honoring Mrs. Loven will be Bill Wilke, Randy Wilke, Drake Pennington, Phillip Barnett, Gary Carol and Bill Holt.
Visitation will be from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening and Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. till the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
