City, county and state police were joined by members of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, city maintenance department employees, ambulance service personnel, Tunnel Hill Bike Trail maintenance department and Family Counseling Center workers for hamburgers and hotdogs prepared by Glass Doctor owners Steve and Pam Shoemaker.

The Shoemakers furnished the black angus hamburgers and all the fixings. A large pot of baked beans was provided by Flo Dunning. The City of Vienna provided the hotdogs, buns, chips, drinks and tableware. Legence Bank and Casey General Store provided cookies.

“We just wanted to show these public servants how much we appreciate everything they do,” said organizer Phil Morris. “Many of these people put their lives on the line each day to help protect us. And we just want to say thank you.”
