Cecil was born August 10, 1950 in Tunnel Hill. He was the son of Roy Albert and Beulah Faye (Taylor) Moore.
Cecil was formerly united in marriage to Debra Moore Nichols.
Survivors include: his daughters – Tammy Moore Miles of Florida and Tina A. Moore of Carterville; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers – Donald Moore of Dixon and Joe Bennie Moore of Vienna; a sister – Shirley Dalton of Tunnel Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by 2 infant brothers – Roy Leon Moore and Jackie David Moore as well as 2 other brothers – Lawrence Taylor and Vernon Moore.
Cecil was a graduate of Vienna High School. He had also received training in small engine repair. Cecil had been employed as a union construction laborer.
Cecil was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as ginseng hunting and working on lawnmowers. Cecil was known to many by his C.B. handle “Archer” for his skill in bow hunting.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date to be announced.
