The Vienna Grade School Beta Club brought home two national championship awards and placed favorably at the National Junior Beta Club Convention held June 26-29 in Nashville.
The Club returned home Monday night with a national title in Living Literature for the third time in the past four years, and Joshua McGill won the national title in Woodworking.
Vienna’s Reagan Johnson, whose last year’s “Baken’ with Reagan” campaign won her the Illinois State Junior Beta Vice Presidency, ran for re-election and although she did not win, club sponsor Lorylee Hensley said she “represented Illinois very well.”
The VGS Beta Club won the national title in Living Literature.
Joshua McGill won the national title in Woodworking.
Reagan Johnson ran for re-election as the Illinois State Junior Beta Vice President.
Twenty-three Vienna students attended the convention with Sadie Johnson taking third in Color Photography, Haley Bundren taking fifth in Technology and Asa Sparks placing in the top ten in Spelling.
The Club brought home third in T-shirt, third in Campaign Skit and fourth in the Banner competition.
