Members of the Vienna Masonic Lodge are at the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery throughout the Memorial Day weekend accepting donations for upkeep of the cemetery. The cemetery is owned by Vienna Fraternal Cemetery, Inc., an independent body of the Masons, and managed by the Vienna lodge. Finances for upkeep of the property comes only from the sales of burial lots, interest on deposits and donations from the public.
Floyd Koehler, pictured above, took a break from picking up fallen tree branches Saturday afternoon to visit with The Vienna Times. He said the lodge collects a good portion of their donations for upkeep during the Memorial Day weekend each year.
Donations to the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery upkeep fund can be sent to: Vienna Fraternal Cemetery, PO Box 714, Vienna IL 62995.
