Jennifer Lyn Moore Wright, age 38 years, a resident of Makanda, Illinois, passed away Thursday morning, March 19, 2015, at 4:25 a.m. at her home.
Jennifer was born April 10, 1976 in Live Oak, Florida. She was the daughter of Sgt. Gene Steven Moore and Marcia Lee (Woodcock) Moore.
Survivors include: her mother and stepfather – Marcia and Will Grant;
her father and stepmother – Gene and Barbara Moore; her beloved companion – Elijah “Eli” Thompson; her sons – Isaac Thompson, Dalton Wright, and Joseph Smith; brothers – Timothy Moore and William Grant II; a sister – Amanda Grant, a stepsister – Nicki DuBois; as well as Ray Thompson and Mary Frick Thompson, who are Eli’s parents and Isaac’s grandparents. Jennifer is also survived by her aunts – Teresa League, Sherri Riles, Anita Winslead, and Shelia McGuire, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends who will always cherish the memories that they have of Jennifer.
Jennifer was a homemaker. She had previously been employed as a convenience store clerk and had worked at the Pizza Hut in Anna and McDonald’s Restaurant in Carbondale.
Jennifer was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed raising flowers, watching movies, listening to music and spending time with her family. She especially cherished the time she spent with her son Isaac.
Life is too short to dwell on every day. The Lord picks our time. He puts us on this earth and I know that she is walking now with Him on streets of gold, waiting to see us all again. Love you forever in my heart and soul, Jennifer. ‘Til we meet again, I love you Baby Girl.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date, to be announced.
