Artie Eddleman, age 90, of Dongola, IL, passed away at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his granddaughters home in rural Dongola.
Artie was a life long farmer in Pulaski County and had previously worked for many years at Main Brothers Box and Lumber Company in Karnak. He was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church in Perks.
He is survived by one granddaughter, Heather and husband Roger Hartline of Dongola; one grandson, Tom Eddleman of Perks; two sisters, Linda McIntosh of Marion, Lula Belle Porter of Edwardsville, MO; one brother, Gene Eddleman of Buncombe; four foster children, Lorri Johnson of Bourbonnais, IL, Jim and Chuck Johnson of Carbondale, Bob Johnson of Indian Trail, NC; three great-grandchildren.
Artie was preceded in death by his wife, Lova Robertson Eddleman; one son, Kenny Eddleman; parents, Archie and Amy Lingle Eddleman; two brothers, Bob and Leroy Eddleman.
Funeral services for Mr. Artie Eddleman will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Rev. Pete Vinson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery near Dongola. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
