Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday November 15, 2014, at the Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Oral Perry officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Poordo. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, Illinois, and from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the church.
Memorials for the well-being of his children will be set up at the Farmers Bank in Marion. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
Jonathan was born on January 2, 1981 in Marion.
He was a carpenter working for E.T. Simonds and was a member of the carpenter’s local union. Prior to working for the union he was co-owner of King Buildings. He loved hunting, fishing, sports, coaching, and riding his Harley. His greatest love of all was his children and helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Sara, and children, Madison Lee and Andrew Gus of Pittsburg; his mother and step-father, Deanna and Gerald Davis of Marion; and his father Rick King of Hendersonville, NC.
He is also survived by his brothers, Simon King and wife Christi of Johnston City and Phillip King and wife Cindy of Buncombe; grandparents, Kenneth and Alma Perry of Pittsburg; nieces and nephew, Lexi and Abigail King, Bentley and Emily Cameron, Chase and Clayton Pearl, and Cody Wheaton; a sister-in-law, Cathy Cladis and husband Jason of Jackson, MO; nieces, Alaina and Ava Cladis; a mother-in-law and father-in-law, Teresa and Don Gay of Brookport.
