Stephanie Rae Martin – Obituary

Stephanie Rae Martin, 35, a resident of Vienna, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2014, at 12:24 PM at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Stephanie was born June 20, 1979 in Kankakee, Illinois.  She was the daughter of Gary Bruce Martin and Mary Ellen (Nickells) Martin.

She was a loving mother, a thoughtful daughter, a joyous sister and a wonderful friend.

Her life was everything but perfect, but she was the best person you could ask for in a friend.  She was always there for her children – Chelsea Marie Mook, Blake Austin Ray Mook and Alexia Ellen Mook and her life long soulmate, Jeffery G. Mook.  She also leaves behind her father, Gary B. Martin, her big brother, Gary L. Martin, sister-in-law, Jeniffer, niece, Jessica Martin Adams, nephew, Kevin Martin, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a world full of friends who will all truly miss her.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother Mary, a brother, Richard William Lee Martin, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Stephanie spent her childhood and youth in Kankakee.  She was employed in the circulation department of the Kankakee Daily Journal while in high school and was a 1998 graduate of Kankakee High School.  Stephanie was a certified D.S.P. (Direct Service Provider) in the health care field.  She had been employed at the Glen Brook home in Vienna.

Stephanie attended the Gilead Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Simpson.  She was devoted to her children and loved animals.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, November 1, 2014, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.  Brother William Newton will officiate.

Interment will be at a later date in the Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, Missouri.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 Noon – 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
