Michele Rushing Taulbee, age 48 years, a resident of Paducah, Kentucky and a former resident of Johnson County Illinois, passed away Thursday morning, October 9, 2014, at 9:33 a.m. at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Michele was born October 13, 1965 in Champaign, Illinois. She was the daughter of Bobby Lee and Betty Jean (Reynolds) Rushing.
Michele was formerly united in marriage to Carl Taulbee.
Survivors include: her daughter – Jennifer Lynn Taulbee of Benton, KY; 2 grandchildren – Kobee and Keisha Johnson; 2 brothers – Michael Rushing of Missouri and Brad Rushing of Texas; and a nephew – Jeff Rushing of Paducah.
In addition to her parents, Michele was preceded in death by a sister – Deborah J. Rushing.
Michele was a graduate of the Vienna High School, where she had served as president of the Art Club. She earned an Associate Degree from Shawnee Community College. Michele had worked as a paralegal and was a homemaker.
She was of the Christian faith. Michele enjoyed sewing and knitting. She also enjoyed collecting and watching movies.
A Graveside Service will be conducted Sunday afternoon, October 12, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. at the Rushing Cemetery, east of Ozark. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 – 3 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
