Marsha Hayes, Family Resources Developer program manager/case manager, for Family Counseling Center, Inc. in Vienna, received the Family Driven Care Award from the State of Illinois, Division of Mental Health – Child and Adolescent Services. Judy Hutchinson, Family Consumer Specialist, from the Division presented the award to Hayes Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 16.
Marsha has worked for Family Counseling Center, Inc. for the past 13 years in several different capacities. Marsha has been a vital part in providing family-driven care throughout the southern seven counties of Illinois.

With Marsha’s professional experience, community resources and leadership skills she has been able to provide excellent services with various families and children. She is caring, empathic, and driven to provide the best services possible.
Marsha deserves recognition for her efforts and ability to connect with families and make a difference in their lives.
It is Family Counseling Center, Inc.’s hope that others can learn from Marsha’s ability to incorporate the family driven care principles into mental health treatment.
Marsha’s commitment to children and families is exemplified through her connection to the community as she serves as an executive board member for the Johnson County Chamber of Commerce, director for the 3D Victims Impact Panel in Johnson County, assists Vienna Spring Fling, chairman for the Johnson County Fall Festival, executive board member of Goreville Freedom Fest, president of Johnson County Revitalization Corporation, DCFS Metropolis Action Team member, president of the Illinois Healthcare Coalition and coordinates multi-agency meetings for Johnson, Pope and Hardin Counties. Furthermore, Marsha received a Presidential Award for Volunteerism from President George W. Bush and was previously named Citizen of the Year for Johnson County.
