Richard Allen Hatton – Obituary

Richard Allen Hatton, age 53 years, a resident of rural Simpson for the past 6 years a former resident of Houston, Texas, passed away Wednesday morning, May 21, 2014, at 11:15 AM at his home.

Richard was born June 27, 1960 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was the son of Fred Eugene & Mary Rebecca (Allen) Hatton.

Richard is survived by: his mother – Mary Rebecca Hatton of Simpson; a sister – Ramona (Raymond) McDowell of Houston, Texas; a niece – Lindsey; and a nephew – Benjamin.

Richard had been employed as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic.

Richard enjoyed fishing, gardening, yard work and reading. He had a deep appreciation for all animals. Richard was a member of the First Baptist Church in South Houston, Texas.

Richard is remembered for his love of family and for being a “good son.”

Private graveside services will be conducted at the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
