Jack Spurlock, age 77, of Carterville, formerly of Karnak, died at 6:12 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Jack was retired as an Independant Insurance Claims Adjuster. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carterville and a member of the Egyptian Antique Car Club. Jack and Phyllis Heisner were united in marriage, November 27, 1955.
Survivors include, his wife, Phyllis Heisner Spurlock of Carterville; one son, Jim and Vickie Spurlock of Carterville; two grandsons, William Pinkston of Energy and Mathew Pinkston of Marion; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Pinkston of Carterville; one great-grandson, Aaron Pinkston of Carterville.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Clifton and Dorothy George Spurlock.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Rev. Steve Heisner and Rev. Alan Milligan will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Cypress. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
