Joy E. Robinson Manning, age 51 years, a resident of Vienna, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 2:59 PM in Vienna.
Joy was born January 31, 1962 in Millington, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Amel and Rosemary (nee Longworth) Robinson.
Survivors include: her mother – Rosemary Longworth of Simpson, Illinois and a brother Joel Robinson.
Joy was preceded in death by her father, Amel Robinson, in 1988 and a brother, Steven Robinson, in March 1990.
Joy spent her youth in Arizona. Upon her return to Southern Illinois, she attended Southeastern Illinois College at Harrisburg where she received her L.P.N. training and certification. Joy later earned her Registered Nurse certification at Shawnee Community College at Ullin. She loved working with people and received personal satisfaction in helping others with their physical healing process. For the past several years, Joy had been employed as a Registered Nurse at the Illinois Veterans Home at Anna, Illinois.
Joy loved animals and cherished her two cats and two dogs. She was an active supporter of P.A.W.S.
Joy was a devout Christian.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
