Body identified in Vienna

body discovered at parkLocal authorities have released the identity of the female whose body was discovered this afternoon at the Vienna City Park.

Joy Manning, 52, of 111 Illini Ct., Vienna, was found dead in her vehicle Tuesday at around 3:00 p.m. in the park. An autopsy is underway tonight in Williamson County.

According to Vienna Police Chief Jim Miller, Manning was reported missing earlier Tuesday by her boyfriend.

Manning’s body, along with two dogs, was discovered inside a SUV parked in the northwest corner of the park.

An investigation by Johnson County Coroner David Rockwell, local law enforcement departments and Illinois State Police continues.

At this time, no foul play is suspected.
