Ullin, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) District 22 and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department are advising the residents of Johnson County about an ongoing public safety disturbance.

According to ISP Commander Ken Ryder, on Saturday, August 3, 2013, a Johnson County Deputy Sheriff responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Old Cypress Road.  The occupant of the residence has refused to cooperate with law enforcement officials and the investigation remains ongoing.

“Over the past several days, Illinois State Police Special Operations Command units and other police personnel have responded and remain on the scene to assist the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department with this incident,” said Acting ISP Captain Ken Ryder.

“We want the community residents to know that the matter remains ongoing and the incident is being closely monitored by law enforcement,” he stressed.

Commander Ryder also added that the incident is isolated to a specific area and asks that the public avoid the area.
