Barbara Graves Duvall, 77, of Vienna, Illinois, passed away Monday morning, July 15, 2013, at 8:10 a.m. at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna.
Barbara was born February 12, 1936 in Belknap, Illinois. She was the daughter of Ervin Graves and Lillian (Richards) Graves.
Survivors include: a brother – Paul (Margaret) Graves of Vienna, two sisters – Catherine (Robert) Moore of Belknap and Virginia (the late Carroll) Bean of Vienna, a sister-in-law – Myrna Graves of Vienna, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by: a brother – Johnny Bob Graves and a sister and brother-in-law – Norma and Ed Vaughn.
Barbara had been employed at the Good Luck Glove Factory in Metropolis, IL and worked as a seamstress at the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Anna, IL. She was last employed as a cook by Ingram Barge Company, retiring in 1998.
Barbara was a member of the Belknap Unit of the Johnson County Homemaker’s Extension. Barbara was an excellent cook. She enjoyed making handcrafted embroidered items. Barbara was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She is remembered for her love of children and providing babysitting in her home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, July 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Larry Gilbert and Dr. Ed Hollis will officiate.
Burial will be in the Belknap Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
