Marie Stewart, 82, of Vienna, Illinois, passed away Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013, at 4:20 a.m. at the home of her son, Eddie Clymore, near Creal Springs, Illinois.
Marie was born May 30, 1931 in Johnson County Illinois. She was the daughter of Cove Walker and Etta (Hall) Walker.
Marie was united in marriage to Earl Stewart on July 25, 1967 in Marion, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2007.
Survivors include her sons, Eddie (Joanna) Clymore of Creal Springs and G.A. (Barbara) Clymore of Jonesboro, Illinois; grandchildren Kyle, Kim, Valerie, Shane and Stephanie; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Kenny Walker of Pine Top, AZ; a sister, Betty (Floyd) Reece of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Bob Badgely of Bristol, WI and nieces and nephews of the Walker and Stewart families.
In addition to her parents and husband, three brothers, George, Norman and Bud Walker and three sisters, Doryce Corzine, Violet Badgely and Lucille, preceded Marie in death.
Marie had worked as an in-home care provider. She was of the Protestant faith. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Marie was a wonderful baker. She is fondly remembered for her excellent homemade bread and cinnamon rolls which enjoyed making for her family and friends in the community.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Brother Les Chamberlain will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
