Shaun H. Saltzman, age 33 years, a resident of rural Simpson, Illinois, passed away Saturday morning, March 30, 2013, at 3:49 a.m. near Herrin, Illinois.
Shaun was born June 22, 1979 in Paducah, Kentucky. He was the son of David Harvey Saltzman and Elizabeth “Betty” (Kubian) Saltzman.
Shaun was united in marriage to Andrea E. (Tanner) in May 2001 in Aurora, Colorado. She survives.

Shaun was a 1997 graduate of the Vienna High School. He was employed as a lead railroad technician by Track Tech.
Shaun attended the New Liberty Church near Eddyville. Shaun loved life and enjoyed many hobbies, including singing, bowling, and shooting pool. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing, hiking, and deer hunting. Shaun is remembered by his family as a loving father. He cherished his children and enjoyed spending time with them.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, April 3, 2013, at 11 AM at the New Liberty Church near Eddyville, IL.
Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the New Liberty Church.
