Dalton Neil Cable, age 5 years, son of Kevin Cable and Christy L. Sollami, of Ullin, Illinois, passed away Wednesday evening, March 20, 2013, at 7:19 p.m. at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dalton was born December 10, 2007 in Carbondale, Illinois.
In addition to his parents, Dalton is survived by two brothers, Derek Kelley and Trenton Cable both of Ullin, maternal grandmother, Jane Kelley of Dongola, Illinois, paternal grandmother, Sharon Evans of Ullin, maternal great grandmother, Alice Casper of Dongola, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
Dalton was preceded in death by grandfathers, Michael Sollami and Weldon N. “Rip” Evans and great grandfather, Walter Kelley.
Dalton had attended the Dongola Pre-School. He loved the outdoors and was quite a “little-man” spending time with his dad, who had taught him to call squirrels and fish. Dalton also loved to drive his “gator.” He was a fan of Disney and especially enjoyed Mickey Mouse, the Mickey Mouse Club, and especially the movie “Cars.” Dalton also enjoyed playing video games with his big brothers and his favorite Super Mario characters were Yoshi and Toad. Dalton liked to boss his brothers and thought of himself as their protector. Dalton’s favorite food was macaroni and cheese.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, March 27, 2013, at 5 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Buncombe, Illinois. Brad Davis will officiate. Those attending the service are asked to gather at the cemetery at approximately 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, Illinois.
