Age: 92 years
A resident of Vienna, Illinois.

Passed away Wednesday morning, August 15, 2012, at 9:10 AM at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Rebecca was born January 29, 1920 in Trenton, Tennessee.  She was the daughter of Harvey B. White & Flora Clydee (Westbrooks) White.

Rebecca was united in marriage to Floyd C. Simmons in November 1939.  She was later united in marriage to Clella Jean Smith.  He preceded her in death.

Survivors include:
2 Daughters – Floy Harner, and her husband Ron, of Vienna, IL
Nancy Belford, and her husband William, of Grantsburg, IL
A Son – Michael Dean Simmons of Belknap, IL
9 Grandchildren – Ron Harner, Jr. and his fiancé Angie Escue, Sandra & Greg Corzine, Marsha L. & Frank Dodson, Timothy A. Mathis, Michael C. Mathis, Mindy R. & Matt Oxford, Erinn Bowman, Miles D. Simmons & David Simmons.

In addition to her parents & husbands, Rebecca was preceded in death by:
A Grandson – Charles Edward Mathis, Jr.
A Granddaughter – Julie Harner Thomas
2 Brothers – Robert White & Harvey White, Jr.

Rebecca was a graduate of the Robbs, IL High School.  She was employed as a nurse’s aide at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois and later at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna.

Rebecca was of the Baptist faith.  She was baptized in a farm pond near Simpson, IL.  Rebecca loved reading and in her youth, she loved to dance.

A private service will be conducted.  Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation.
